SRA 2009 AGM

Notification of 2009 SRA Annual General Meeting.

This year’s AGM will be held on TUESDAY 31st MARCH 2009 at 7.30pm.

Venue is the Old Grandtully Hotel, Grandtully Village, Perthshire.
All members are welcomed to attend.

Nominations from members who have an interest in joining the committee for the forthcoming year should be made by post or e-mail to SRA Admin, be received by 24th March and supported by another current member.
Items for the AGM Agenda should also be received by this same date. Any items not able to be resolved speedily at the AGM will be dealt with by the new committee
.

2009 Membership Renewals

All members should renew their membership prior to the 1st April in order that qualifications remain valid for April 2009 – March 2010.
Membership renewal applications will be sent to all current members, however please ensure that SRA Admin has your current e-mail and postal contact details and advise any changes to:

AS Training Rescue 3 Courses. River Tay

AS Training & Consultancy, as part of Adventure Scotland, are running a program of Rescue 3 Courses in 2009.

SRT Advanced – 20-23rd March 2009 £345 ex VAT

SRT1 – 4-6th April 2009 £250 ex VAT

SRT1 – 12-14th September £250 ex VAT

All courses are based at Grandtully, Perthshire and are non-residential. All prices are subject to VAT. Accommodation information available on request.

SRA Spring SRA Course.

The SRA Spring Course Dates have been sorted. The course will be running from the 28th of Feb to the 6th of March. This course will be run in the Aberfeldy area and will be run by Steve Thomas of Freespirits Adventure.

Raft Guide Course Dates Change.

Due to lack of participants on the week we were going to run the 6 Day Raft Guide Training Course we have changed the course dates. Now running from the evening of the 1st of November to the 7th of November. The location is still Dunolly in Aberfeldy.

New Website

The SRA have launched their new website.

The website includes details like Signals and the SRA Code of Conduct.

There are also still the useful links of Membership Lists and Training information. We will still be running the blog and keeping that updated. Please let us know what you think about the new website so we can keep it up to date and with the information you want.

SRT Courses

We have heard from Adventure Scotland that they are running a couple of Open SRT Courses this Autumn. SRT 1 on the 27th 29th of September and SRT Advanced on the 17th - 20th October. This is not part of the SRA syllabus but a very worthwhile and world wide Recognised Qualification. Adventure Scotland run these courses all through the year for Professional Rescue Services so they know what they are doing when it Comes to SRT Training and Assessments.
